Member Guidelines
Revised June 20, 2026
Age Requirement
MEMBERS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO JOIN CURSEBREAKER SMP.
Not only does this help ensure a mature and responsible community environment, it also protects us from legal liability pertaining to international child-privacy laws. This is a strict requirement, and we reserve the right to ask for proof of age if there is any doubt. Parental consent is not accepted as an alternative to this requirement.
Commitment & Activity
While CurseBreaker SMP has no explicit minimum participation requirements, members are encouraged to remain active for at least one full story arc (approximately 4 months).
Communication First: We understand real life happens. If you face circumstances affecting your activity, please contact staff to find a mutual solution. If you know in advance that you'll be inactive for an extended period, please let us know and/or use the "inactive" role in our Discord.
Collaborative Conduct
Adult Maturity: We expect members to carry themselves with a level of maturity appropriate for the situation—no spamming, yelling, or being excessively annoying.
Content Awareness: Be conscious of your surroundings; avoid disrupting players who are recording, streaming, or engaged in roleplay.
Zero Tolerance: Discrimination, harassment, bullying, and toxicity are strictly prohibited.
Building & Environment
Spatial Respect: Choose build locations thoughtfully and communicate with neighbors to avoid encroaching on planned areas or land hoarding.
Immersion Standards: Help keep the world looking its best by avoiding "nerd poles," messy structures, or offensive/NSFW builds.
Resource Management: Respect server health by avoiding unoptimized farms or excessive mob accumulation that causes unnecessary lag.
Property & Fair Play
The Consent Rule: No stealing, griefing, or unauthorized entry into private bases. PvP is only permitted with the explicit consent of all parties involved.
Integrity: Cheating, exploiting bugs, or duplicating items is forbidden; please report any discovered exploits to staff immediately.
Accountability
Staff Check-ins: If activity requirements aren't met, staff will reach out to check in and discuss potential solutions.
Removal Policy: Persistent disruptions or repeated rule-breaking may lead to a requested departure at the end of an arc.
Immediate Removal: Severe or constant breaches of conduct will result in an immediate removal from the community without prior warning.
